Privacy policy

When you request a quote or use our system builder, we may ask for:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your street address or suburb (used to plan panel layout on your roof)
• Your monthly electricity bill amount or a photo/PDF of your municipal bill
• Details about your property — roof type, main breaker size and cable distances

We use this information for one purpose only: to design and price a solar system for your property and to contact you about your request. Specifically:

• Your bill and usage figures size the recommended system
• Your address lets us plan the installation and arrange a site visit
• Your contact details let us send your quote and follow up

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

If you upload a photo or PDF of your bill, it is processed securely on our servers to read your usage and tariff. The file is used only to prepare your quote and is not published or shared.

Your information is sent over an encrypted connection and is accessible only to the Cape Town Solar team handling your quote. We keep your details only as long as needed to assist you and meet any legal obligations, after which they are deleted.

You may at any time:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete your information
• Withdraw your consent for us to contact you
